Immanuel Lutheran Church, a Member congregation in the
Northwest District of the Lutheran Church, Missouri Synod has been a vital part
of the Sellwood-Moreland
community for over 90 years.
Our primary purpose for existing is to proclaim the
Gospel of Jesus Christ. We make that
proclamation within our own congregation and community, and, by supporting the work of the
Missouri Synod, to the entire world.
Our worship services center on the cross of Christ and
its effect on the lives of those who have accepted Christ as their Savior. We regularly
celebrate the Sacrament of the Lord's Supper.
Our education program seeks to nurture the growing
faith of our members in a variety of classes and presentations designed to meet the needs
of all age levels.
The members of Immanuel also work to express their
faith in Christian service. Numerous organizations and programs offer opportunities for
members to use their talents and gifts in service to God. |
